BICYCLE SMASH

COLLIDES WITH CAR BOY INJURED Lawrence Oldred, aged IC, whose parents live at the tea kiosk at One Tree Hill, was* taken to the Auckland Hospital at about 12 o’clock yesterday suffering from severe injuries to the humerus and slight abrasions. The boy was riding along the Great South Road in the direction of Mangero on his bicycle, in company with two other boys, when he collided with a car travelling toward Auckland. He was thrown heavily to the ground and was rendered unconscious. He was taken to the hospital by the hospital ambulance. It is not known whether his condition is serious or not. The bicycle is a complete wreck.
