THE MASTER’S VOICE
WILL NOT BE HEARD BROADCASTER RESIGNS (Special to THE SUN.) CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. The voice of Mr. Prentice, chief announcer for the Radio Broadcasting Company of New Zealand, in the near future, will not be heard from the station in Auckland, his resignation having been accepted by the company. Mr. Prentice, who formerly held a responsible position as announcer and organiser on the staff of Station 2BL, Sydney, was brought specially to New Zealand last year and it is reported, authoritatively, that Mr. Prentice’s resignation is the outcome of differences of opinion with other executive officeres in regard to control and organisation of the Auckland station. Approached to-day Mr. A. R. Harris, general manager of the Broadcasting Company, declined to make any statement other than that Mr. Prentice’s resignation had been received.
