PONSONBY WINS FIRST OF CHATHAM CUP SOCCER MATCHES

The chief attraction for followers of Association football yesterday was the match between Ponsonby and Northcote, at Blandford Park, which attracted an excellent attendance. Ponsonby won by two goals to one, thus avenging the defeat administered by Northcote a fortnight ago. Ponsonby’s two goals were scored by Bell and Hunter, and Hall found the net for Northcote.
