HAMILTON TOURNAMENT The Hamilton Golf Club’s tournament over 36 holes at St. Andrew’s links for the Winter Show Challenge Cup was played yesterday. The medal handicap, played in conjunction with the first round of the cup, resulted in a tie between C. Rees and M. H. Horton, and was decided upon the afternoon medal score of those players. Rees returned the better card and annexed the trophy. The same player tied with G. Gunn in the Winter Show Cup, each recording a net aggregate of 149. The event will be decided to-morrow (Saturday) afternoon, as well as the tie between H. T. Gillies and J. Horton for the bogey handicap, in which each finished three up on the colonel yesterday. Following are the best! aggregate scores:—W. Gunn, 73, 76; Rees, 70; 79; Gillies, 75, 75; M. Horton, 70, 80; Guy, 74, 76; Gerrard, 78, 76.
