THE BEST POSSIBLE

AUTOMATIC SIGNALS SYSTEM FOR AUCKLAND YARDS In addition to being the largest Installed in New Zealand, the signalling system for the new railway yards at Auckland .will also be the safest and the most effective. An automatic illuminated colour diagram will enable those in charge to trace the movements of trains on the interlocked sidings. A coloured lamp on the diagram will indicate that a train has entered any particular siding. There will be 201 signal lamps throughout the station yard. As the trains pass over the rails they will automatically illuminate or extinguish the lights. If there should be a breakdown in the electric power from the city, an auxiliary standby plant will provide all the power necessary to run the system.
