THE WAIUKU CLUB SMALL DEBIT FOR YEAR The annual .meeting of the Waiuku Athletic Sports Club was held this week, when the president, Mr. F. Knight, presided over a small attendance. The report and balance sheet showed that the club was for the first time showing a small debit balance, which was attributed to the heavy expenses, especially as regards to the rental of the sports ground. The following officers were elected for the current year: Patron, Mr. J. D. Chalmers; vice-patrons, Messrs. W. Hosking and A. Knight; president, Mr. F. Knight; vice-presidents, Rev. Father Taylor and Mr. D. Cooper; secretary, Mr. G. Swaine; treasurer, Mr. W. Kemp; committee, Messrs. T. Hair, A. J. Hone, H. Wilson, S. Browne, C. C.
Munro, J. Crouch, D. Rowe, R. Robinson, H. Blackler, A. J. Lowe, H. B. Armitage, W. Stanton, C. R. Barriball and T. Miller; auditor, Mr. J. Forbes; starters, Mr. J. Hanfling (chopping events), Mr. 11. Blackler (running events); judges for chopping events. Rev. Father Taylor, Messrs. A. White and J. Crouch. Substantial help was promised the club for the coming year, which members hoped would result in the placing of the club funds in a much better position.
