AUCKLANDER WINS AGAIN Nelson McKnight’s second Australian victory wafe gained at the Newcastle Stadium last Saturday week when he beat Eddie Smith on a technical knock-out. It was a sensational fight, McKnight (10.4£) and Smith (10.2) standing toe to toe practically for the entire journey. The Maorilander dropped Smith for a count of nine in the 13th round, and immediately after, the towel went in from Smith’s corner.
