Jb M *zs- £- The Proprietors of Anti-Acido do *ot claim that this product will cure cancer. It is a remedy for Indigestion. However, all statements in this advertisement arc supported hy modern medical researches. Food, Disease, and— ln digestion SELF-INFLICTED CANCER EFFECTS OF BLOOD CONTAMINATION. The events and endeavpurs of a life active and interesting in many spheres are set forth very cogently and entertainingly by Dr. Robert Bell in his “Reminiscences of an Old Physician." Dr. Bell, who is superintendent of Cancer Research at the Battersea Anti-Vivi-section and General Hospital, is a prominent opponent operative surgery in relation to that fell disease. 44 “Every year," he declares, thousands of women are niutilated and doomed who w ould have been easily cured by gentler means.” ‘lt is beyond doubt, more®ver, that cancer is a selftnllicted disease and is most assuredly a disease depend®°t lot its origin upon a Prolonged contaminated “ndition of the blood. . . . know that a fungus kly grows in unhealthy soil or upon decaying material, ne same holds good with onncer, because were the JJSJ ot our bodies supplied "ith pure blood—w r hich is neir soil—their functional «tmty would go on uuimki an< * disease of any oro completely ruled ~ From London “Daily **“• October, 1924. An inefficient stomach is the cause not only of immediate digestive disorders, but also of numerous diseases that are the result of food-poisoning. Many prominent investigators into the cause of cancer believe that this dread scourge probably has its source in some poison or deficiency in the bloodstream. Without rich, pure blood, it is impossible for the organs to function properly, or for the body to be truly vigorous and sound. Half Well—Half 111. A large proportion of adults are only half well because their digestive processes are impaired, and the body does not get its supply of new, rich blood. If the food you eat is not thoroughly digested, and its nutritious elements assimilated, you cannot enjoy good health—in fact, your system is in a condition to provide a soil for disease. An Elaborate Process. The organs and glands associated with digestion are the salivary glands, stomach, pancreas, liver, and the glands of the stomach and small intestine. Each of these helps to produce the chemical change that breaks down the food you eat, and helps to transform it into bodily strength and vigour. When digestion is hindered or delayed, the food forms gases which are Cl the cause of wind and heart-bum. You suffer the tortures of indigestion and gastritis, and every meal repeats the process. Moreover, the stagnant food turns to poison, and “ retention of food and poisoning may provide sources of irritation in the tract through which food passes, which act as exciting causes of the disease.” A Modern Need — Anti-Acido. If your digestion does not act normally—if you suffer after meals—you MUST assist nature if you would be well. Anti-Acido is a preparation that is a prompt and positive aid to digestion. If you have pains after eating, or a feeling of fullness or discomfort, take half a teaspoonful of Anti-Acido in cold water immediately after a meal. You will thus be able to eat and enioy hearty meals-—to be happy and vigorous as Nature intended. Get your tin of Anti-Acido, now and Stores. Half a teaspoonful after meals prevents indigestion.
