SQUADRON AT PORTSMOUTH CROWDS VISIT SHIPS Brit ish "Wireless.- — Copyright. Reed. 11 a.m. RUGBY, Wednesday. The Rear-Admiral commanding the French Naval Squadron at present visiting Portsmouth, yesterday laid wreaths on the city war memorials. Last night the officers and 400 men attended a dinner in the Guildhall. The visitors are very popular with the British naval ratings; also with the people of Portsmouth, who yesterday visited the French ships in large numbers.—A. and N.Z.
