PERSONAL. —The Mararoa recommissioned at Lyttelton on Monday, andis in command of Captain A. H. Prosser, (vho has associated with him the following officers: —Chief, Mr. D. N. McLeish; second, Mr. A. B. Fraser; third, Mr. E. K. Pate. Mr. C. Sharpe has rejoined the Maunganui as chief officer, after holidays. Mr. N. B. W. ITaszard is transferring to the Marama, relieving Mr. N. J. Siepen for his holidays. Mr. R. Allen has been appointed second officer of the Poolta temporarily. Captain E. R. Lowe, of the Kauri, has transferred to the Kahika, vice Captain W. Whitefield, who has assumed temporary command of the Kauri. Mr. R. Tulloch has been appointed second officer of the Wairuna, relieving Mr. C. H. George for holidays. Mr. L. B. Thomas has joined the Wingatui as third officer, vice Mr. J. Y. Jeboult, who has transferred to the Kauri, relieving Mr. R. F. Dewar, who will attend examinations. Captain W. H. D. Gardner, master of the Wainui, has transferred to the Waipori, and Captain A. Reed, of the Waipori, has transferred to the Wai-
Messrs. N. W. McDonald and C. T. G. Haul tain, chief and second officers of the R.M.S. Niagara, are being granted holiday leave. Mr. J. M. Hood, senior third officer, is proceeding to Wellington for instructions, and Mr. D. Rollo, junior third officer, will remain by the vessel during overhaul. Mr. W. Reynolds, fourth mate of the Waipahi, has signed off the vessel. Mr. F. G. Shirley has been engaged as chief officer of the Matangi. Mr. R. Kelly has signed on the Pakura as purser.
MOERAKI FROM MELBOURNE.— The Union Company’s intercolonial passenger steamer Moeraki is to leave Melbourne this morning for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton and Wellington. She is due at Wellington on June 10. AORANGI FROM VANCOUVER.— The Royal Mail liner Aorangi sailed from Vancouver noon yesterday for Honolulu, Suva, Auckland and Sydney. She is due at Auckland on June 19 and at Sydney five days later. WAIPAHI SAILS. — Shortly after noon to-day the Union Company’s fruit steamer Waipahi left Auckland for Rarotonga, Mangaia, Atiu and Aitutaki. TAIROA LOADING, —To take in further cargo, the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Tairoa left Opua this morning for New Plymouth, Wanganui and Wellington. The vessel sails from the latter port on June 22 for London, via Montevideo and Teneriffe. MAUNGANUI FROM SYDNEY.— The Union Company advises that the R.M.S. Maunganui leaves Sydney this afternoon and is due at Auckland on Monday morning. She is announced to sail from Auckland at 11 a.m. on Tuesday next for Suva, Honolulu, Victoria and Vancouver. MAIMYO REPORTED,— The Commonwealth arid Dominion Line chartered steamer Maimyo is reported to have cleared Newport News last Monday in continuation of her voyage from New York to Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Newcastle. She is due at this port early in July. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company are the local agents.
THE TONGARIRO.— The New Zealand Shipping Company report that the Tongariro will leave Lyttelton today for Wellington, where she is due on Friday rfiorning, to fill up. for London. She is timed to sail for London, \*la Panama, on Saturday.
TO COMPLETE LOADING. To complete loading the Canadian Government Line steamer Canadian Britisher is due at Auckland to-morrow from Wellington. She is scheduled to clear here on Saturday for New York, Boston and Montreal.
CANADIAN PIONEER. —The Canadian Pioneer, which was scheduled to reach Auckland from Halifax next Monday, has reported by wireless that she will arrive to-morrow forenoon. The vessel will berth at Prince’s Wharf to unload motor-cars, motor parts and general merchandise for Auckland. She will unload the remainder of the cargo at Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. Subsequently the vessel will load general cargo at Southern ports and will complete loading at Auckland for New York, Boston and Montreal.
PORT AUCKLAND ARRIVES.— This morning the C. and D. Line steamer Port Auckland arrived here from New Plymouth. She is to leave on Saturday for Tokomaru Bay, Gisborne, 'Wellington and Wanganui to complete loading, and is to sail finally from Wanganui on June 16 for London, via Panama.
PORT HARDY TO LOAD.— The C. and ID. Line advise that the Port Hardy will leave Port Chalmers this afternoon for New Plymouth, to put out the remainder of her London cargo. The vessel will commence loading at New Plymouth, and will subsequently load also at Picton, Bluff, Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, and Wellington. She is due at Wellington on June 20. TKfe Port Hardy will proceed from Wellington to Gisborne and Auckland, and is to sail from Auckland on June 28 for New York, Boston and London.
CORINTHIC AT WELLINGTON.— The Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Corinthic, from London and Southampton, berthed at Wellington at one o’clock yesterday afternoon. Passengers for the North reached Auckland by train this morning. Their baggage is being forwarded by the Katoa, due at Auckland on Sunday. The Corinthic will unload a quantity of general merchandise at Wellington, and will come to Auckland to complete discharge. The vessel will also commence loading at this port for the Homeward voyage, and will fill up with cargo at Napier, Lyttelton and Wellington. With passengers and mails she is to be despatched from Wellington for Southampton and London, via Panama on June 29.
CITY OF KHARTOUM ARRIVES.— An arrival at Auckland this morning was the Ellerman and Bucknall Line steamer City of Khartoum. After bunkering' in the stream she berthed at Prince’s Wharf to discharge a cargo of general merchandise from New York. The vessel left New York on April 28 and proceeded to Newport News, where she coaled. Arriving at Colon on May 9, transit through the Panama was granted and the steamer cleared Balboa the same day, after a quick passage through the canal. The voyage across the Pacific was made in very fine weather and it was only yesterday that the ship encountered a strong south-easterly wind, which made the sea a bit choppy. In January, when the City of Khartoum, then known as the Karrow, was discharging cargo in New York Harbour, a fire broke out on board. The vessel settled down in six feet of mud and after the fire was extinguished she f was salvaged and re-named the * City of Khartoum. Captain T. Robinson is in command and has associated with him the following officers: Chief, Mr. H. G. White; second, Mr. J. P. Barnard; third, Mr. A. Storm; chief engineer, Mr. A. Arthur; second, Mr. G. Duncan; third, Mr. H. Thompson; fourth, Mr. J. Richardson; chief steward, Mr. E. G. Phillips; wireless operators, Mr. J. Kehoe and Mr. L. Leach. The vessel is chartered by the A. and A. Line, and is running under the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company. She will be dispatched about Monday next in continuation of her voyage to Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin, Bluff and Beauty Point, Tasmania. ANTONIO FROM TEXAS. The New Egypt and Levant Line steamer Antonio arrived at Auckland last evening from Texas and berthed at Western Wharf this morning to discharge 40,000 cases of benzine at this port. The vessel, which is under time charter to the Andrew Weir Line, left Port Arthur on April 23 and passed through Panama on May 1. The weather for the voyage was very fair. Two days of windy weather were experienced, when strong easterly gales blew, but otherwise the voyage was an uneventful one. The cargo consists of 6,200 tons of case oil and a small quantity of general merchandise. Previous to this voyage the vessel was engaged in the coal trade between the United States and the Canary Islands. The Antonio is commanded by Captain A. E. Staples, and the following are the officers:—Chief, Mr. H. Stringer; second, Mr. C. M. Carroll; third, Mr. A. Blackburn; chief engineer, Mr. J. Moir; second, Mr. H. Jackson; third, Mr. W. Wilson; fourth, Mr. A. Hatcher; wireless opera tor, Mr. W. Wh alley. Messrs. Robert Millar and Co., the local agents, expects to dispatch the Antonio next Wednesday for Napier, in continuation of her voyage to 'Wellington, New Plymouth, Beauty Point (Tasmania), Melbourne and Adelaide to complete her discharge.

The Rarawa arrives at Onehunga tomorrow from New Plymouth, and sails again at 3 p.m. on Monday on the return trip. The Ngatiawa, due at Onehunga today from Raglan, Kawhia, and Waikato Heads, leaves on the return trip on Dlonday at 4 p.m. The Alexander sails from Onehunga to-day for Nelson, and Greymouth.
