AUCKLAND SLUMS
MINISTER TO INSPECT (.From Our Resident Correspondent.') WELLINGTON, To-day. The Hon. G. J. Anderson goes to Auckland on Sunday night for the opening of a new wharf at Russell. While in Auckland he will take the opportunity of inspecting the slum areas in accordance with a promise made during the discussion last session on rent restriction, and on similar lines of the Christchurch and Dunedin inspections. It is understood that he will officially open the new council chambers at Mount Albert on June 11.
