PEPPERMINT CORDIAL
Peppermint cordial is a much appreciated drink during winter time. To 1 31b of sugar add $ an ounce of essential oil of peppermint and sufficient boiling water to make 2 quarts of syrup all told. Stir well till all the sugar is dissolved, and when cold bottle and cork. It is necessary to use the essential oil. Essence of peppermint will not serve the purpose. i
