ALCOHOLIC REMORSE

MAN PROHIBITS HIMSELF The middle-aged countenance of Henry Pa ton is now quite a familiar spectacle at the Police Court. On this occasion he had been found drunk in Queen Street, for which offence he was fined £l, or three days in Mount Eden. Paton, who was the sole “drunk” presented at court to-day, decided to do without liquid enjoyment for three months by voluntai'ily taking out a prohibition order against himself for the duration of that period.
