ALCOHOLIC REMORSE
MAN PROHIBITS HIMSELF The middle-aged countenance of Henry Pa ton is now quite a familiar spectacle at the Police Court. This morning he made his 27th appearance on charges arising out of drunkenness. On this occasion he had been found drunk in Queen Street, for which offence he was fined £l, or three days in Mount Eden. Paton, who was the sole “drunk” presented at court to-day, decided to do without liquid enjoyment for three months by voluntai'ily taking out a prohibition order against himself for the duration of that period.
