“IT” CONTINUES Another large and delighted audience at the Regent Theatre last evening roared with laughter at ’Tt,” the chief picture attraction, ancl demonstrated its approval of the music, vaudeville and novelties provided. Comedy in Clara Bow’s liveliest manner is the chief ingredient of the Elinor Clyn-Clarence Badger production, “It.” vivacious shop-girl possessing the unusual power of “IT,” an invisible emanation said to exude from certain human beings making them irresistible to all with whom they come in contact, is the picture’s central figure. With the aid of this strange power she wins the attention of the president of the department store in which she works and causes him to fall in love with her. The romance and misunderstandings which follow, leading up to a thrilling yacht wreck and rescue far out on the ocean, is presented with exceptional skill and lavishness. Antonio Moreno plays the leading male role. William Austin, Priscilla Bonner, Julia Swayne, Gordon and Jacqueline G-adsdon are also in the cast. Paddy Saunders, the J. C. Williamson Celebrity Vaudeville cartoonist and humorist, was given a great “welcome back” at each appearance and Eddie Horton’s “Song Slides” continued to delight all patrons. The special stage presentation by Maurice Guttridge and the Regent Operatic Orchestra of “Peer Gynt” Suite (Grieg) is one of the most notable musical events yet featured in the theatre, which has become noted for the standard of the music provided with its other attractions.
