“STRANDED IN PARIS”
BEBE DANIEL’S BEST Bebe Daniels, Paramount's vivacious queen of comedy, will appear at the New Regent on Friday in the latest of her series of mirth provokers. Needless to say, “Stranded in Paris” docs what it sets out to do, and does it well. As an Amercian shop girl who arrives in Paris, becomes stranded, wins a job with a modiste, is mistaken for a Countess, goes through a lot of escapades endeavouring to escape the real Count and Countess, almost succeeds in losing her fiance and a hundred other things—Bebe outdoes anything she has so far attempted. This iittle lady of the impulsive smile has won herself an enviable position in the hearts of all film fans. Her latest and greatest feature will increase her popularity a thousandfold. James Hall, Ford Sterling and Iris Stuart are also featured. Herman J. Mankiewicz and John McDermott adapted the stage play, “Jenny’s Escapade.”
