HELP FROM FARMERS Press Associatioti. PALMERSTON NORTH, Monday. The Agricultural College Council met here to-day, and decided to establish the nucleus of three herds —Jersey, Ayrshire and Friesian. Breed societies are invited to co-operate in laying 8 good foundation. It is hoped ultimately to establish five breeds. Mr. W. J. Hall, Matatoki. has given a purebred Jersey bull to the university. It was reported that Mr. O. JepSOßr Te Awamutu, had offered the use of nis property for experimental purposes. The offer was considered to be ve - gratifying, and illustrative of the interest centred iri the establishment the university by the farming comm ity. The offer is to be borne in min and advantage taken when occasion a,rises to carry out experiments of ticular interest in that district.
