SPRING PLANTING
GARDENERS BUSY \ ACTIVITY IN THE PARKS Gardeners are busy in Albert Park, preparing for the spring planting. Beds have been cleared of cannas. dahlias, salvia and all the other floweri which splashed the green lawns with colour during the summer and autumn. Next week the planting of bulbs win begin in earnest. Already some bedi have been filled with blue iris. Tne last of the chrysanthemums have gon?. but in a few weeks there will be * brilliant display of bulbs. Much of the turf has been raised an fresh soil added. __ The same prepare" tion has been going on in most of tt parks round Auckland, and the P rcn G of spring can be seen on every * a and in every flower bed. -
