EARTHQUAKE SHOCKS

Shortly before 8 o’clock this morning a sharp earthquake w.jfi felt at Hamilton, being followed by another tremor a few minutes later. Two shocks of earthquake were experienced in Cambridge. The first at 7.55 was severe and accompanied by a loud rumble. One chimney was dislodged and this is the only damage reported. The second shock was very slight and followed a few minutes later. The shock experienced in Tauranga at 7.53 was very slighut.
