PUBLIC NOW TIRED OF NEGRO DANCE

WALTZ COMING INTO ITS OWN GOOD-BYE TO “HEEBIE JEEBIES” By Cable.—Press Association. —Copyright PARIS, Friday. The days of exaggerated dances, mostly of negro origin, are numbered. Grace is replacing jerry syncopation. The Dancing Congress at present sitting has decided not to recommend such invasions as heebie jeebies and the equally uncivilised blackbottom dance. Experts declare that there is a definite movement towards the waltz and other dances popular 20 years ago. The public is thoroughly tired and no sooner masters one dance than it is out of fashion. —A. and N.Z.
