Taylor, Mid - Surrey, 8 up and 6; E. Haley, Sandridge Park, defeated Major Thorburn, 3 up and 1; R. H. Wethered, Royal and Ancient, defeated J. Watson, 1 up; H. C. Pearson, Walton Heath, defeated Sutton, Birkenhead, at the 19th hole; W. L. Hope, St. George’s Hill, defeated T. A. Torrence, Sandy Lodge, 3 up and 2; R. H. de Montmarency, Royal and Ancient, defeated Douglas Grant, Royal and Ancient, at the 21st hole; Landale defeated E. F. Storey, Lancaster. 2 up; H. S. Jobson, Sunningdale, defeat?d W. A.
