HER WORD IS LAW

(.From Our Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, To-day.

“Whatever she says goes, there is only one voice in this,” was the matter of fact statement of Arthur Oliver Giles from the dock to-day when charged with failure to maintain His wife. “It is difficult to explain our matrimonial relations since I returned from the war,” he said. The wife, too, was disinclined to discuss the domestic circumstances and Mr. J. S. Barton, S.M., made an order of £1 a week for the wife and 10s for the child.

Giles, who is unemployed, said that he was willing to maintain. “It’s just whatever she says,” he said.
