LEFT IN THE DOUBLE
Eleven horses still claimed the double engagement in the Great Northerns after the declaration of acceptances, these being: Kawini, Zircon, Wedding March, Royal Form, Royal Abbey Maunga, Passin’ Through, Dick, Mount Marta, Glenotus and Day Bell. There are fifteen left in the G.N. Hurdles and twenty in the G.N. Steeplechase. These races are run this year on consecutive days, next Friday and Saturday. That makes i the task of winning the double rather more difficult than usual.
