“HE KNOWS HIS JOB”
(From Our Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. The Right Hon. J. G. Coates put himself figuratively on side to-day in respect to a long-stand-ing public belief that Mr. R. W. McVilly, ex-general manager of the railways, and Mr. Coates were at loggerheads. “Now the public seem to think Mr. McVilly is a pretty hard man,” he said. “ In some ways he is. but he knows his job and Knows it well.”
