SAIAMAN’S STOCK
QUESTION OF DISPOSAL SOME FORFEITS The question of the disposal of the £3,000 worth stock of Abraham Salaman, the Indian herbalist, of Khyber Pass Road, who was convicted on six charges of false pretences by Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., on Tuesday, came before the same magistrate for decision this afternoon. After a lengthy discussion between the Bench, Chief Detective Cummings and Mr. Schramm, Salaman’s counsel, it was agreed that certain articles that the chief-detective had listed should be forfeited forthwith and the remainder handed over to Mr. Schramm for disposal. The matter will be held in abeyance in the meantime while an endeavour is made to sell the stock.
