THRUST FOR FARMERS MINISTER KNOWS PROBLEMS (From Our Resident Reporter.) WELLINGTON, To-day. A little good-humoured thrust at the persistent representations of farming interests was indulged in by the Hon. O. J. Hawken, Minister of Agriculture, to-night when speakin? before the Royal Agricultural Society conference. “You will probably h® telling me lots of things,” he said, but it is nor information on the farmers’ problem*; that I want, it is the solutions. Fron. my long experience I think I can (lain to be well-informed on the difficulties facing farmers. If there is a better informed man in the Dominion I do not know him. I want solutions.”
