SPEEDY N.Z. GIRL SWIMMER ENJOYING HOLIDAY IN SYDNEY

Miss Doris Magee, New Zealand’s intermediate champion girl swimmer and record holder, who left for Sydney some weeks ago, is now well settled down in her new home across the Tasman. She is to reside in the Australian city for the next six months and will return to this Dominion in time to compete in next season’s championships. Miss Magee is a very graceful six-beat crawl swimmer, and is just 17. She owns the New Zealand intermediate 100 yards record of 68 4-ssec. established at Dunedin last year, and if she improves at the rate she has been doing, Miss Magee may stand a chance for selection in the N.Z. Olympic Games team next year.
