Mr. Perry said that neary £9,0Q0,000 were realised by woolgrowers in the past season. Had not prices been steady and firm throughout the whole season a disastrous crash among farmers would probably have eventuated. During the past season 490,000 bales were sold at a Dominion average price of 12.66 d a lb, compared with 473,277 bales sold during the previous season at a Dominion average of 11.93 d, making an increase for last season of £550,000.
