CLASHING OF DATES
RACING AND TROTTING NEED FOR RECTIFICATION It was stated at the meeti—the committee of the ting Club this week that \\ as being made for the first SatmX in December and the first in March, as the dates on wISchlT club would race at ClaudelandsVer season. This has been the fbt' period of the two meetings the chi has held in Hamilton for some timThe Matamata Racing Club whitl’ carried out its programme on tu same date in March this season hai it was added, mace application fir another date, but the Te Kuiti Chib was likely to come in on the Trotthr Club’s March date.
It was the opinion of the meetiu that it would be unsatisfactory fj the Te Kuiti Club to clash with the March fixture at Claudelands. The views of the Trotting Club on the the matter are to be brought befere the District Committee, with the ul imate desire of placing them before the Conference Dates Committee.
It was stated that the dates committees of racing and trotting would this year confer in Wellington before the dates for the meetings in the iespective branches of sport were finally decided upon.
