N.Z. Rugby Tour To South Africa
SETTLING THE DETAILS TOO MANY MATCHES? Press Association. WELLINGTON, To-day. The New Zealand Rugby Union has received a letter from the South African Board suggesting that the New Zealand team next year should comprise 29 players and a manager, and should arrive in South Africa not later than June. The New Zealand Union last night decided that the team should leave Alelbourne not later than June 16. The chairman, Mr. S. S. Dean, thought New Zealand should stick to the original programme of 21 matches and three tests. It was decided to cable the South African board to secure a final agreement on this point.
