AUCKLAND RUGBY HAS BOOM YEAROVER 6,000 PLAYERS

It is estimated that there are over 6.000 players in the Auckland Rugby Union competitions. It has been a record year for the number of teams entered in the different competitions. In grade football there were 140 teams; in secondary schools* competition there are 36: and now a huge entry of 110 teams has been received for the primary schools' competition, which starts this week. Another 25 or 30 teams are expected for a post-primary school competition, which will be started next week. In all. something like 310 teams will be in action.
