LIBRARY CONCERTS
PARNELL The winter course of entertainments in connection with the Parnell Library commenced last evening with a concert arranged by Miss Maida Hooker and Miss Berta Carr. The programme was bright and varied, and was greatly appreciated. Miss Nellie Simpson played a ’cello solo, “A Memory,” and Mr. Arthur Reid, a pianoforte selection. Vocal items were contributed by Misses Cecilia Duncan, Myra Monk and P. McLeod, and Messrs. Ernest Snell’and Hugh Woods. Mrs. Robertson, Miss Lloyd and Mr. X. Watson jointly gave a musical item, while Miss Doris Messer entertained with an interesting recitation.
