SPECIALIST FAILS CREDITORS’ MEETING Being a high priestess of beauty did Mrs - Florence Chatterton, of Wellington, and formerly of Auckland, beauty parlour business. When her creditors assembled at the Official who traded as Florence Hullen in the Assignee’s Office this morning bankrupt was not present and they had the option of paying her fare to Auckland for examination or having the examination conducted in Wellington, wdiere bankrupt resides. The Official Assignee, Mr. G. N. Morris presided.
The unsecured creditors were owed 9d and the secured creditors, Bankrupt in her statement attributed her bankruptcy to the expenses of litigation in connection with her mother's will which cost her £4OO. When she began business in Auckland she left an assistant in charge of her very remunerative business in Wellington which brought in about £2O a week. While she was struggling in Auckland however her business in Wellington -went to pieces. So she sold up in Auckland and went back to Wellington, but her business there had not prospered and judgment creditors had pressed her until she had to file.
