PAINTING ON GLASS.
Painting on glassware is a fascinating hobby, and if the wprk is done carefully many cheap articles inay be daintily decorated thereby. Choose plain glass articles — jugs, tumblers, jars, bowls, etc. ' your article first, and dry careluUj, leaving no dust or fluff upon it. Some designs may be purchased in colours, if these are not procurable, it is a gp oo idea to colour your design in TVate j’' colours first. Then you will kno which colour to use on the glass, and so avoid bungling. Slip the design inside the article to painted, and hold it in place by bits ° stamp-paper, or by a little paste on . corners. But make very sure you b av the design straight; if not, your wor will be decidedly ugly. The painting is comparatively p; 1 *-; Use ordinary tube oil paints, with a little white enamel. Just P B *® on the glass over the design, using tn colours in the design.
