Davys), formerly a boarding house proprietress at Rotorua, applied, before nis Honour Sir Charles Skerrett, at the Supreme Court this morning, for an alteration in her husband’s will. Mr. Davys said that plaintiff was asking for an annuity of £IOO a year for her daughter Jean and £I,OOO cash for herself, for the purpose of buying a house, and also that she retains her life interest in her husband’s estate. Giving evidence as to the standard of living accustomed to, plaintiff said that with her husband she had managed Grand Vue House at Rotorua for some years prior to 1916, Hinemoa House from 1916 to 1924, and until the time of her husband’s death, had been manageress of Brent’s House at £ 500 a year. Her income from the estate was £298 16s, of which £IOO went to her daughter, but neither had yet received any payment.
