THEFT FROM A CAR “His reputation is not very satisfactory,” said Chief-Detective Cummings this morning, when Walter John Wade, aged 31, appeared for sentence in the Police Court on a charge of stealing a rug and a scarf from a car. “He’s a ship’s fireman, but he’s not very fond of work.’ Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., sent Wade to Mount Eden for a month.
