Bad Smash in Cycle Race
EVENTS AT MAN GERE LIMIT MEN’S DAY OUT Weather conditions on Saturday at Mangere, were against fast times. The course was never better than it is at present, and the public interest never greater. An unfortunate accident occurred at the finish of the Manukau Cycling Club’s open race, when Brewin came down bringing with him J Whitten, who subsequently had to be taken to the hospital. The limit men won two out of the three events decided, making full use of their handicaps. Following are the results: Manukau Cycling Club’s under 16 Handicap. miles.—G.
