Bowling matches on city and suburban greens on Saturday were played under fairly good conditions. In most cases, the semi-finals of club competitions were reached, while a number of clubs proceeded with their winter programmes.

FINAL OF PERCENTAGE FOURS After a mixed morning of sunshine and showers the weather cleared before noon and allowed the final match of the Papatoetoe Bowling Club’s percentage fours competition to be played on a somewhat heavy green.
