THE SUN’S Dressmaking Competition, for amateurs, with a prize of £.20 for a frock not costing more than 30/-, makes any one onf these dreams possible, A stitch here, a stitch there, a little hemming, a little pleating, a little tacking, and the prize may be yours. The few odd minutes of every day concentrated on dressmaking activities, and your hopes may be realised. Is it not worth while? Coupons should be sent in to-day telling us of your intentions to compete, though, of course, entries may be sent in any time before the 31 of May even if we have not been advised. The judges have now been appointed, and we have been particularly fortunate in securing the services of three exceptionally clever women, whose opinions will be the best that SUN readers could wish for. Thev are Miss ITurlev, of John Court’s, Limited. Miss Wilson, of Rendells, and Miss Hill, of the Farmers’ T’-adiug Company.
HOME DRESSMAKING ONLY The SUN’S Dress Competition is confined to amateurs, and professional dressmakers are not eligible. A committee of three expert dress designers will be appointed to judge the exhibits, which will remain the property of the competitors, and ill be returned within one week o!’ the award being made.
