SPLIT PROBABLE

RUGBY UNION CONTROL BRITAIN AND DOMINIONS By Cable. —Press Association.—Copyright LONDON, Thursday. Mr. C. D. Packford, writing in “Sporting Life,” says that after a conversation with Mr. Wray, New Zealand's representative on the committee of the Rugby Union, he thinks a split between the British and Dominion Unions is now nearer than ever. It is, he says, conceivable that when the New Zealanders visit South Africa they will discuss the situation. In view of possible action, therefore, he urges the new president of the British union, Admiral Royds, to insist on the dispute regarding the international board being debated immediately. The Dominion’s demands, the writer says, are reasonable. They solely desire to co-operate with the British Lmion for the advancement of the game in the right direction, and it is not likely they will wait cap in hand much longer.—A. and N.Z. —Sun.
