A shocking tragedy was caused at Cassel, in Prussia, by a boy tampering with the brake of a crowded tramcar in the absence of the driver. The car dashed down a hill, and crashed Into an iron scaffolding. It then capsized into a ditch. The passengers were pinned beneath the overturned car, and nine of them, including six women, were killed.
