Burglars In South
A HOUSE LOOTED CHRISTCHURCH LOSSES (Special to THE SUN.) CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday. A week-end house at New Brighton was entered and looted of furniture and fittings of all sorts, such as would require some conveyance in the shifting. Two other burglaries are reported from the same place, and also a case of bag-snatching. A woman was walking along the esplanade when a man accosted her and, grabbing her bag, made off to the safety of the lupins. The tobacco shop of Mr. A. W. Evans, in the city, was entered at night, and about £ls worth of tobacco and cigarettes was taken. A skeleton key was used. TOBACCO STOLEN DUNEDIN MAN’S LOSS (.From Our Own Correspondent.) DUNEDIN, Thursday. Thieves stole a quantity of tobacco and cigarettes after entering through a skylight the shop of J. A. Galbraith, a South Dunedin tobacconist.
