WAIHI CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
ANNUAL MEETING (From Our Oicn Correspondent .) WAIHI, To-day. The annual general meeting of the Waihi Chamber of Commerce was held last night. The retiring president, Mr. W. M. Jackson, presided over a good attendance. The report referred to the excellent work done by the chamber in regard to the Waihi-Whanga-mata road, improved mail facilities, etc. The balance sheet disclosed a credit balance of £22 4s 2d. The election of officers resulted as follows: Pi sident, Mr. J. B. Beeche; council, Messrs. P. G. Brady, N. G. Keatinge, S. 11. Brown and F. Timanus; secretary and treasurer, Mr. J. Whitehead. Tributes were naid to Mr. W. M Jackson, the retiring president, who, owing to his early departure from Waihi, did not seek re-election.
