DOMAIN BOARD ESTIMATES (From Our Own Correspondent.') TATJMARUNUI, To-day. The Taumarunui Borough Council held a special meeting on Tuesday evening to consider the estimates and the financial position, but the main business was held over. The clerk presented the estimates for the Domain Board, which showed an estimated revenue of £l5B 14s Id, and payments to a total of £ S 5, leaving a balance of £73 14s Id for general purposes for the year. Suggestions to increase the rentals of the bowling and tennis clubs, to provide for a plan of the grounds, and the 'sale of dead timber in the Sunshine Reserve, were matters held over for future consideration of the board. The council dealt with the salaries of the office staff for the coming year, these being fixed on the following scale: Town clerk, £325; assistant clerk, £208; typiste, £141: office boy, £B4 10s —a total of £758 10s.
