Jack Shaw leaves Sydney to-morrow on return to Auckland and the pacer will follow in a week’s time. A SUPER HORSE That Western King is “the goods” is demonstrated by the comment of a writer in the Sydney “Referee,” who remarked: “If Concliffe is a champion then Western King is a super-horse.” It is also quite evident that there is nothing faulty about the Australian pacer when he was able to satisfy Jack Shaw with the tests ACQUISITION TO AUCKLAND Western King will prove an acquisition to light harness circles in the Auckland Province, and, incidentally, o New Zealand, and hjs owner, Mr. Moodabe, is to be warmly complimented on his enterprise. All sportsmen will wish him and Trainer Shaw success with their new venture and the appearance of Western King in Auckland and later with the popular colours carried by Jewel Pointer and Amaris will be awaited with interest.
