GENEVA CONFERENCE
COMMITTEE WORK TARIFF QUESTIONS By Cable. — Press Association.—Copyright GENEVA, Tuesday. The Economic Conference has reached a st «»ge at which it is almost impossible to state exactly what it has accomplished. Most of the committees are in the final stage. Many resolutions are before the drafting committees and will come up for final approval before they are submitted to the plenary session of the conference, which will be held on Monday. The committee of the conference to-day adopted a resolution to the effect that the time has come to p it an end to the increase in tariffs? and that the nations should orthwith remove these barriers, which unduly hamper trade, and should start with those erected to counteract disturb ances arising out of the war. The interests of the Dominions .are being vigilantly watched, and it* is considered that they are fully safeguarded.—A. and N.Z.
