CANADIANS ARRIVE MONDAY
CIVIC RECEPTION ARRANGED At a meeting of the Management Committee of the Auckland Football Association, held last evening, the chairman, Mr. A. Menzies, reported that the Canadian Soccer team would arrive on Monday by the R.M.S. Niagara. A civic reception will be held at the Town Hall at noon on that day. Mr. J. M. Downie was strongly in favour of the allotting of Blandford Park to the Canadians for training. His idea was that a gate could be charged and the proceeds to go to the unemployed fund. It was the feeling of many at the meeting that the park was not in a fit condition, especially round the goals, and that, no doubt.
would be where the players would con centrate.
It was finally decided to allocate the Soccer ground at Victoria Park for the Canadian team to practise.
W. Brown was transferred from Onehunga to Birkenhead, and was regraded to the second division. A Glen Eden player. Graham, was transferred to the Swanson Club and was regraded from second to third grade.
