CARE OF TEETH
importance of diet DENTIST’S STATEMENT PROPAGANDA NEEDED WELLINGTON, Tuesday. In his presidential address to the SeW Zealand Dental Conference, Mr. r L. Taylor paid a warm tribute to the work being carried out in the schools in connection with dental hygiene. He stressed the importance of diet in regard to the well being of the teeth and health of mankind. He said he would like to see a small committee from the association bring before the Government the necessity ot more propaganda on the subject. The newspapers should be induced to take up the matter in a prominent way and the subject of dietetics should be taught in every school. It was no use denouncing the miller who makes refined white flour, and the baker who bakes white bread, or the confectioner who sells a variety of enticing sweets. •\Ve must educated the public to know what manufactured foods are good for the system and then the merchant will soon supply them,” said Mr. Taylor.
