AUCKLAND TOWN-PLANNING Following a private conference between the Director of Town Planning, Mr. R. B. cimmoad, and City Council representatives yesterday, it is pr<L.,..jle that a confert ice of local bodies w. .e called about the middle . i July to discuss co-operation. Mr. Hammond said most of the suburban local bodies were in favour of a conference. He pointed out that a common policy of town planning had nothing to do with local government. It was merely to ensure that each knew what the others intended, and could work in its own plans accordin'-’ .
