PONSONBY CROQUET CLUB

A CARD PARTY The members of the Ponsonby Croquet Club were entertained by Mrs. C. E. Hardley and Mrs. Ventners at a card party on Saturday afternoon held in the West End Bowling Club pavilion, which had been generously lent for the occasion. Bridge and five hundred were played and the prizes were won as follow: Bridge, first prize, Mrs. Gallaher; second prize, Mrs. Buckle; consolation prize, Mrs. Crowe. Five hundred, first prize, Mrs. W. F. Hardley: second prize, Mrs. Downes; consolation prize. Mrs. T. Chapman. A dainty afternoon tea was provided by the hostesses and the president of the club, Mrs. Worsfold thanked Mesdames Hardley and Ventners on behalf of the members for their hospitality.
