“SEVEN SINNERS” AND “POLICE PATROL” A varietyl of entertainment is in•luded in the programme at the Strand Theatre this week. Two big pictures, “Seven Sinners” and “The Police Patrol.” are screened at the evening sessions, while during the day sessions, an additional feature, “Hero of the Big Snows,” a stirring drama of the North-West, starring the popular dog, actor, Rin-Tin-Tin, is added for the •hildren’s bill of fare. “Seven Sinners” s an intriguing drama of the lives of nembers of a gang of crooks -ho ■ perate in the fashionable quarter of New York, and in the luxurious homes m Long Island. Marie Prevost a d ''live Brook, two of the most pcpular >f screen artists, have the leading oles, and supporting them are John Patrick, Charles Conklin and Claude *illingwater. The picture, for the nost part, is enacted in the home of the Vickers family on Long Island, and nfie story concerns the exciting experinces of the gang while attempting to >urgle the mansion. A most unusual md amusing climax is reached, however, when the chief of the gang and his pretty wife and assistant, '*omnence to build up a thriving business elling burglar alarms. “The Police ‘atrol,” the second attraction at the strand, which has at the head of its strong cast, James Kirkwood and Edna Murphy, is an enthralling drama of he adventures of Jimmy Ryan, a member of the New York Police Service. His exciting experiences while tryng to bring to justice a gang of crooks who devote their attentions to the heft of precious furs, are said to be very amusing and entertaining. The strand Magazine and an Aesop Fable cartoon are also billed to be screened, md the Strand Orchestra, under the capable conductorship of Eve Bentley, enders enjoyable music throughout - he evening, and also plays an interlude.
